best podcasts ever

Bonjour! This post is pretty self explanatory. I love listening to podcasts while I drive around all day for work. They make me feel inspired, happy, sad, excited and like I have way more friends that I actually have. I listen to them all via the podcast app on my i-phone but I’m sure you could listen to them via their websites, or through stitcher radio. If you have a favorite podcast that I haven’t mentioned, feel free to comment down below, so I can check it out.

The Lively Show with Jess Lively

cover170x170Her description: “The Lively Show is a weekly podcast designed to add a little extra intention to your everyday”.

My description: Jess interviews people about clothes, style, eating issues, creativity, being a working mom, feeling overwhelmed and how to not feel like that, writing, etc. My only complaint is sometimes she goes into “woo” territory and talks too much about “ego” and “intuition” and shit like that. Oh and she’s a life coach and just started her own e-ecourse. She doesn’t push her products too hard, and she’s likeable, both on her podcast and on twitter. (She tweets back).

Fresh Eats Radio with Heather Rampolla

cover170x170-1Her description: “Making healthy eating friggin’ easy! And fun too.

My description: Heather has a very soothing voice. She interviews people about eating seasonally, getting your kids to eat more vegetables, emotional eating, hormones, thyroid health, beauty and aging gracefully, and kale. She is a step-mom of two teenage daughters and talks about her family life sometimes. She sells meal plans to help you detox but she’s just a very peaceful healthy person.

Pop Fashion with Kaarin Vembar and Lisa Rowan

cover170x170-2Their description: Vintage store owner Lisa Rowan and fashion stylist Kaarin Vembar discuss fashion news, pop culture and questions about business and creativity.

My description: Lisa and Kaarin are people I’d love to know in real life. They talk about new collections coming out (Alexanger Wang for H&M), fashion house scandals (Dolce and Gabbana not going to jail), US stores expanding into international markets (Sephora going to India), sweat shops and American Apparel’s many problems. They make me feel ok about both loving fashion and critiquing it. They always tweet back and read your tweets on their show too. Definitely my favorite.
