spring shoe haul

Bonjour!

Working 40 hours a week is no joke. Plus “business casual”? I have no idea what that means, and then my coworkers are wearing jeans and trainers, some are in Tory Burch flats, and some are in jeweled flip flops. I’m so confused (and tired). Also it’s been damn near 90 degrees every single day. The struggle is so real in California. Had to go shoe shopping. Here’s what I picked up:

Image

Blue and red canvas sneakers from Cotton On. These were on sale. I think they were $3. I had both my kids with me when I bought these, which would explain why I grabbed them in size 9 men instead of size 9 women (or size 7 men), but they aren’t too big and they were hella cheap.

Purple pointed toe flats. Thrifted from Goodwill for $5.99, plus military discount (I think it’s 10%, see my DISCLAIMER). I never ever wear pointy toe shoes because I feel like I’m wearing “elf shoes” but decided to give these purple ones a go because pointy toe shoes look cute on other people. Why not me?

Black ankle booties with small heel. Thrifted from Goodwill for $7.99, plus military discount. According to youtube, you can never have enough black ankle booties.

Canvas geometric print (we don’t say “tribal”) Airwalks from Payless. The tag says $22.99 but I paid $16.99 (because they were on sale) plus military discount. I love these shoes. My flat feet think they are annoying.

Tan and beige ballet flats from Payless. Tag says $29.99 but they were on sale for $19.99, plus military discount. These have cushions in them and make my flat feet so happy. About as chic as I’m gonna get working in social services.

How have you been? What do you wear to work in the spring/summer?
